Man receives five-figure pay-out for bungled operation that nearly killed him

New Barnet, UK – 23rd February, 2017: John Evans, 53, nearly died and lost about six pints of blood following the surgery in 2012 to repair a crack at the base of his skull.
He received a sum of £37,500, including £9,508 for private medical fees, which he intends to use for counselling to help rebuild his life - because the operation also left him with severe depression and anxiety, as well as sleeping problems and persistent mood swings which have affected his work and family life.
