  • Jury Awards $14.2 Million In Negligence Decision - Mercy Will Appeal Verdict

    Missouri, US – 8th November, 2017: A Franklin County jury has awarded Vincent Lowe, 55, Union, more than $14.2 million in medical negligence damages against two Mercy doctors and two hospital subsidiaries.

    The judgment signed by Associate Circuit Judge Stanley Williams last Friday, states Lowe will receive a total of $12,820,990 for past economic damages, past noneconomic damages, future medical damages and future noneconomic damages.

    Clearwater, US – 9th November, 2017: A mother and her child are suing a St. Petersburg hospital and its staff, alleging medical negligence.

    Janisha Hayes, individually and next guardian and natural parent of MKS, filed a complaint Oct. 18 in Pinellas County Circuit Court against Bayfront HMA Medical Center, Bayfront HMA Physician Management, Dr. Olubukola Ayeni,  Dr. Rachelle Schwartz, Dr. Lauren Davis, Dr. Martin Castaneda, and Dr. Stephanie Jean-Baptiste, alleging they failed to use reasonable care in providing medical services to their patients.
