    Eastern Cape, South Africa – 14th August, 2017: The South African Medical Association (Sama), and its Eastern Cape branch, has condemned the lack of proper security at public hospitals in the province after a doctor was assaulted by a patient.

    Dr Archie Solombela sustained a fracture to his right arm and a general worker was also hurt during the attack by a psyciatric patient at the Cecilia Makiwane Hospital in East London.

    London, UK – 3rd August, 2017: Ian Paterson, the surgeon who performed unnecessary breast operations and made healthy patients believe they had cancer, has had his sentence increased to 20 years by the court of appeal.

    The lawsuit filed this week by Wendy Ann Noon Berner, 46, of Shawnee, accuses the University of Kansas Hospital and the now-former chairwoman of the pathology department, of fraud, negligence and civil conspiracy, KCUR reported.
