A serious case of alleged medical negligence at Lifespring Hospital has sparked outrage after a pregnant woman slipped into a coma following an injection administered by a nurse.
The incident occurred in Peerzadiguda where Neha, a 24 year old woman in her ninth month of pregnancy, had visited the hospital for a routine checkup. According to her family, a nurse administered an injection in the absence of a doctor and sent her home shortly after.
Within half an hour, Neha’s condition deteriorated rapidly. She reportedly suffered seizures and lost consciousness, prompting her family to rush her back to the same hospital in panic. However, they claim that no doctor was available at that time and the staff advised them to shift her to another facility.
She was later moved to a private hospital in Begumpet where she is currently undergoing treatment and remains in critical condition. The sudden turn of events has left the family in shock and distress.
Relatives have accused the hospital staff of gross negligence and demanded strict action against those responsible. Protests were staged outside the hospital premises, with family members seeking accountability from both the management and the nurse involved.
The incident has raised fresh concerns about safety protocols and supervision in healthcare facilities, especially in critical cases involving pregnant women. Authorities are expected to look into the matter as pressure mounts for a thorough investigation.
