In a shocking case of medical negligence at a private hospital in Jahanian, a doctor left a towel inside a woman’s abdomen during an emergency cesarean section.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the affected woman, Sumaiya Naeem, has been transferred in critical condition to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.
Sumaiya’s husband, Abbas, told the media that the delivery operation was conducted 26 days ago at a private hospital in Atta Town, Jahanian.
The couple welcomed a child after 20 years, and thankfully, the baby's condition is stable.
However, Sumaiya’s condition worsened, and she was first taken to THQ Hospital Jahanian before being referred to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.
The affected woman stated that the private hospital administration was unwilling to accept their mistake and did not provide any further treatment.
The family members have demanded the authorities take action against the hospital administration, as Sumaiya is struggling between life and death.
