The Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) has also taken suo-moto cognisance of a case wherein the relatives of a deceased have alleged that the woman died of medical negligence.

The Commission has requested the Itanagar Capital Region superintendent of police to conduct a fair and unbiased investigation in the case at the earliest so that justice may be delivered to the deceased and her family, APSCW chairperson Radhilu Chai said in a statement on Wednesday.

The APSCW also requests the general public to cooperate with the investigation and not take the law into their hands, Chai said. The Commission has, meanwhile, extended its condolences to the family members of the deceased.
