Contradictory test reports are every doctor’s nightmare. It’s like being stuck between a rock and a hard place. A doctor and hospital too faced a similar situation in this case. But they were held negligent on a couple of other oversights as well, as observed by the Consumer Commission.
In this day and age, for some unknown and surprising reasons, lack of proper information on preserving and providing medical records remains to be one of the leading causes of negligence. A hospital recently was added to this avoidable statistic.
