Suffering from high-grade fever with chills & rigors, abdominal pain, hematemesis and haematuria, the patient was admitted to the hospital under a team of doctors. He was diagnosed with dengue fever. Incidentally, there was a dengue outbreak during that period.

Patient’s platelet count fell to a dangerous level, he was shifted to the ICU. He also developed major complications in the eyes and experienced vision loss. He was referred to a higher centre, but to no avail.

A middle-aged woman was diagnosed with dysfunctional uterine bleeding. The obstetrician performed non-descent vaginal hysterectomy. The intra-operative period was uneventful.

The patient complained of nausea few hours after regaining consciousness. Allegedly, a compounder administered an antiemetic injection. Almost immediately, the patient suffered a severe anaphylactic reaction.

She was taken to another hospital and remained admitted for few days, but to no avail. She was declared brain dead and lived in a vegetative state.

A lady, in the sixth month of pregnancy, was advised TIFFA scan. She visited the diagnostic centre, scan was done; it reported no anomaly.

The lady was utterly shocked when she gave birth to a child without a fully grown left arm!

Patient’s left leg was fractured and it sustained injuries in a road accident. He was rushed to hospital where the orthopaedic surgeon performed surgery, inserted the IM nail to join the broken bone. The patient was discharged on tenth day, with an advice to follow up after thirty days.

Patient experienced sharp pain in the leg, pus was also oozing from the operated site. He consulted the doctor after about twenty days. The doctor prescribed medicines, dressing was changed. But to no avail.

A pregnant patient was taken to the hospital by her husband. The doctor at the hospital knew the couple. C-section was performed, a healthy child was delivered.  

The patient suffered intra-operative complications; eight units of blood had to be transfused. She was subsequently referred to another hospital for better management.

At the second hospital, patient was discharged few days after receiving treatment; and was readmitted after ten days or so. She underwent another surgery at this hospital.

A woman delivered twin premature girls. One of the babies was underweight, hence was taken to a specialist neonatologist. The newborn was remained admitted in the hospital for twenty-one days.

Five months thereafter, the parents noticed white spots and squint in the eyes. The baby was taken to a couple of eye specialists. The doctors’ report broke their heart – the baby was diagnosed with Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).

The patient visited a nursing home with complain of abdominal pain. USG was performed; it indicated normal pancreas. The doctor, however, treated him for pancreatic problem for about six days. He was referred to a higher centre on the seventh day.
