A 22-year-old pregnant woman, 8 months into her term, was admitted to a charitable hospital in critical condition — with severe bleeding and a haemoglobin level of just 3 g/dL.

Doctors diagnosed haemorrhagic shock and requested the family to arrange four units of A+ blood. One unit was sourced from a nearby hospital. A second was reportedly administered from the hospital’s own leftover stock.
