Hospital liable for negligent acts of its staff? Always

A seventy-two-year-old man had undergone cataract operation at the hospital. During a follow-up visit, he was being taken in a wheelchair by the hospital staff for some tests. Unfortunately, the wheelchair fell and the patient sustained a fracture.

The patient was referred to another hospital, where he underwent a surgery.
