Doctor-attendants must give space to treating doctors in delivering patient care

The patient with chronic heart disease and history of strokes, was admitted at the hospital. An elective surgery was performed for pacemaker implantation. She was on drugs to manage her heart condition, which was discontinued for twenty-four hours in view of the surgery.

The patient suffered a stroke after the surgery, which was swiftly managed by the attending cardiologist and other doctors. She was shifted to ICU, the drugs to control her heart ailment were restarted. The patient was subsequently discharged after a couple of days.
