ROP screening not advised; court sees red

A woman delivered twin premature girls. One of the babies was underweight, hence was taken to a specialist neonatologist. The newborn was remained admitted in the hospital for twenty-one days.

Five months thereafter, the parents noticed white spots and squint in the eyes. The baby was taken to a couple of eye specialists. The doctors’ report broke their heart – the baby was diagnosed with Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).
