A surgeon who carried out a series of completely unnecessary operations on his patients for personal profit has been jailed for 15 years. Ian Paterson was sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday after being found guilty of 17 counts of wounding with intent and three counts of unlawful wounding 10 of his private patients.
