‘Absent mindedness’ in treating heart attack patient – Doctors & hospitals held negligent

The patient was taken to hospital as he was experiencing chest pain. He was initially treated conservatively.

ECG was performed, chest X-ray was taken; and after some time Trop-T test was performed. The Trop-T test confirmed acute myocardial infraction (AMI). For some reason, the treating doctor and cardiologist did not admit the patient immediately.

About two hours later, patient started gasping for breath and suffered a stroke and died.
