Treating & referring the patient for his own good, nearly proves to be bad for the doctor

The patient visited a nursing home with complain of abdominal pain. USG was performed; it indicated normal pancreas. The doctor, however, treated him for pancreatic problem for about six days. He was referred to a higher centre on the seventh day.

USG taken at the higher centre and another hospital reported normal pancreas.
