The patient was admitted to the hospital with complains of fever and other complications. He was diagnosed with multi-organ dysfunction syndrome; ARDS, septicaemia and malaria were also suspected.

Several tests, including chest X-ray were performed, but definitive diagnosis could be made. He was put on ventilator to manage respiratory distress. A month later, he was discharged in a stable condition.
