Rushing to perform surgery in a non-emergency case – Hospital and doctors held negligent

The patient, suffering from pain in her knees for about six months, consulted doctor at a reputed private hospital. She was diagnosed with advanced osteoarthritis. The doctor advised Bilateral Total Kneel Replacement (BTKR).

She heeded to the advice, got admitted at the hospital. Pre-operative tests, including ECHO, were performed. The ECHO test reported 35% LVEF, hence, patient and her family were concerned about BTKR.
