The Rampur Consumer Forum has imposed a fine of Rs 9 lakh on a private hospital for "medical negligence" leading to the death of a woman (28) and her newborn baby in 2022. The court observed the medical negligence at the treating doctor's end while delivering the verdict on Thursday.
Advocate Ramesh Kumar Lodhi said, "The case dates back to June 2022, when the hospital staff and the doctor had treated the woman's eyes while neglecting her kidney and liver.
