Madhya Pradesh: Doctor Booked For Patient's Death In MP's Khandwa

A case of medical negligence came to light after 35-year-old Jyoti Oswal of Chinai Rojdi died following a kidney surgery at a private hospital run by Christian missionary in Khandwa.

She was admitted on May 21 with kidney-related issues and underwent surgery soon after. However, her condition deteriorated post-operation. She died on June 16.

Police have registered a case of negligence against Dr Sheikh Wajid of St Richard Pampuri Hospital, who performed the surgery. Criminal lawyer Rochak Nagauri confirmed Wajid has been booked under IPC Section 106(1) for causing death by negligence.
