Bhopal: A case was filed after a three-year-old child died under suspicious circumstances at a hospital in the Bag Sewania area, with the family alleging medical negligence. The child was brought to Bhopal from Bina after his health deteriorated and was undergoing treatment at the hospital. According to Bag Sewania police, the deceased, Sarthak Yadav, 3, was a resident of Bina. His family claimed that on Dec 17, a DNS drip was administered to him during treatment. An injection kept nearby was allegedly mixed into the drip, after which the child's condition worsened and he became unconscious. He was later declared dead by doctors. The family returned to Bina and lodged a complaint. Bina police registered a case and, after conducting the post-mortem, handed over the body to the family. After receiving the case diary, Bag Sewania police also registered a case and initiated an investigation. Police have sought details from the hospital management regarding the treatment protocol followed in the case.
