A protest was held at a private nursing home by family members of a woman who died here on Saturday who alleged improper treatment given to her during delivery.
Senior police officials, including SP City, along with a police force arrived at the spot to prevent any unrest. Chief medical officer Dr Sudhakar Pandey has ordered an inquiry by a panel of four doctors, while the deceased's body was sent for postmortem examination.
According to reports, Sonam Rajpoot, 27, was admitted to a private nursing home on Friday morning after experiencing labour pain. She was pronounced dead on Saturday after delivering a premature girl child, who survived.
Following the woman's death, her family members began protesting, alleging medical negligence. Her husband, Mukesh Rajpoot, claimed that the operation was performed by an orthopaedic doctor, who is the hospital owner, instead of his wife, the gynaecologist, who was absent. He further alleged that the woman died due to incorrect severing of a vein, resulting in excessive bleeding.
