Dhanbad doctor booked over alleged forged documents for ultrasound clinic licence

he Dhanbad Sadar Police have registered a case against a doctor for allegedly submitting documents bearing a forged signature of the Deputy Commissioner to obtain a licence for an ultrasonography clinic under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, an officer said.

Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Manoj Kumar, said that the FIR was lodged on behalf of the Dhanbad Civil Surgeon, Dr Alok Vishwakarma, by the Medical Officer-In-Charge (MOIC) Dhanbad, Dr Sunita Choudhary, on Wednesday.  

“A case of forgery has been lodged against the doctor. We are currently investigating the allegations,” said the police officer. 

According to reports, documents bearing the Deputy Commissioner's signature were submitted while filing Form B under the PC & PNDT Act for the ultrasound clinic.
