The Chief Medical Officer of the district raided a hospital at Maseni intersection of Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad which was being run by an operator who has only passed his 12th grade.

After investigation, it came to light that Sri Krishna Hospital was functioning without any qualified doctor and 16 patients were being treated at the facility. Among them, many had also undergone operations.

No doctor was at the hospital. When the CMO asked the operator, Surendra Kushwaha, who was treating the patients, about his degree, he said that he has passed Class 12. The CMO said that Dr AK Gupta’s name was not mentioned on the registration and prescription.

It was also found out that the hospital also facilitated operations. The CMO has sealed the OT and has transferred some of the patients to Lohia Hospital. The remaining patients were given one and a half hours’ time and were instructed to be sent to another hospital.

The raid followed after Swadesh Kumar, a resident of Khanpur village adjacent to Farrukhabad city, had registered a complaint on the IGRS portal.
