A patient's death at Kanshiram Hospital following surgery sparked outrage among family members. The woman's health deteriorated ten hours after the procedure, necessitating her transfer to Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital.
Upon receiving news of her death, relatives returned with the deceased to Kanshiram Hospital, protesting alleged medical negligence. Police intervened and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. The deceased, identified as Meena Singh (34) from Khujeli Sawaijpur Narval, was married to Saurabh Singh, a private sector employee, said her brother Jai Singh. She underwent surgery for a uterine condition at Kanshiram Hospital on Saturday at 2 pm.
Her condition deteriorated late on the same night, leading to her transfer to LLR Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Acting chief medical superintendent Naveen Chandra defended the hospital's treatment, stating that Meena Singh had been receiving treatment at the hospital for two months. He dismissed the accusation of negligence and said that the patient experienced anxiety several hours after surgery, which prompted her referral to another facility.
