Woman Dies After Delivery at Jagaluru Hospital: Family Blames Medical Negligence

Source: , Posted On:   25 September 2024

A woman who was admitted to Jagaluru Government Hospital ten days ago for childbirth has died, raising allegations of medical negligence. The family of the deceased, identified as Suchitra, 23, has lodged a complaint with the Jagaluru police station, asserting that the doctors' negligence led to her death.

On September 15, Suchitra was admitted to the hospital for delivery. However, complications arose, including severe blood loss, and she was later transferred to the Davanagere District Hospital, where she successfully delivered a baby but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.

Family members and leaders from Dalit organizations have gathered to protest outside the Jagaluru Taluk Hospital, demanding accountability from the medical staff. They claim that delays and a lack of proper care contributed to Suchitra's tragic outcome.

The family has formally accused the hospital staff of negligence, leading to their decision to file a complaint with local authorities. As the situation unfolds, community members are calling for justice and better healthcare practices to prevent such incidents in the future.
