Surgeon made bankrupt after failing to pay damages for liposuction death
SINGAPORE - A surgeon has been made a bankrupt after he failed to pay about $7 million to the family of a woman who died as a result of a liposuction procedure he performed at his clinic.
The family of pharmaceutical company executive Mandy Yeong Soek Mun, who died in 2013 at the age of 44, won a medical negligence suit against Dr Edward Foo Chee Boon in November last year.
