In Lucknow, ITBP personnel demanded a thorough investigation into a case of alleged medical negligence involving a commando's mother, who suffered an amputation at a Kanpur private hospital.

A week after an ITBP commando alleged that his mother’s hand was amputated due to medical negligence at a private hospital in Kanpur, several ITBP officers and jawans reached the Kanpur Police Commissioner’s office, demanding a fair probe into the case.

ITBP commando Vikas Singh, who had lodged a complaint against the private hospital over alleged medical negligence, reached the Police Commissioner’s office on Saturday along with his seniors and the ITBP Commandant. The victim alleged that the team constituted by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) had given a clean chit to the hospital, following which they sought time to meet the Police Commissioner.
